But murdering [122815|Scriptmaster Jann] never came into question for me. It was he who saved us when we first came to the island. We found a new home with the Shotak Pirates. [122815|Scriptmaster Jann] saved my life - how could I kill him? And so I had the idea to hide [122815|Scriptmaster Jann] for a while. I would have released him as soon as my brothers were safe.
But the rogues never intended to release my brothers. When I came to the [ZONE_ZINDKAR_SEA_CAVE|Zindkar Sea Cave] to tell them that Scriptmaster Jann was dead, they levied harsh accusations at me and threatened to kill me because I'd violated pirate honor. In desperation I held my breath and played dead. I nearly suffocated for real before they left me behind at the entrance to the grotto.
