AcceptDetailI think you ought to have heard more than your fair share of stories in the vicinity of [ZONE_VARANAS|Varanas]. In particular, stories that tell of a fountain that grants wishes. As a mage of the Eye of Wisdom, I believe that spreading understanding about the world of magic stands as one of my sacred duties.
I believe that the wishing fountain is a particularly unreliable magical device. Because of its unreliability, it fell into disuse about a hundred years ago. Although I must admit, the legend of the [ZONE_VARANAS|Varanas] wishing well has really helped us out. After all, we've turned it into a fundraising tool that we couldn't do without.
Recently, the [WISDOM_EYE|Eye of Wisdom's] efforts to decipher the [<S>241111|Great Mage Letters] have achieved a major breakthrough. Yet the study of lost magic requires huge amounts of money and resources. Therefore we ask anyone who's able to extend a hand to help us out so that we can benefit from these lost magic techniques.
