AcceptDetailA tambourine is a kind of drum frame made out of wood into which several pairs of copper jingles are embedded. They are divided into single and double rowed instruments and also if they have a drumskin or not. Its shape is light and graceful, the sound sharp and penetrating. You merely have to shake it lightly to get the desired effect. The most usual way of playing it is to hold it in your left hand and beat the drumskin with your right. Even though the technique is not difficult, to reach perfection, one still needs a lot of practice.
