While you were out, I did some tests on the [SC_BAD_ANT_01|Kulech] you brought back and compared the results with the materials that Jason collected. I believe there are in fact two subgroups of [SC_BAD_ANT_01|Kulech].

Jason said he saw two Myrmex queens inside the [ZONE_QRICH_CADAVER_DEN|Kulech Bones Nest]. At first I thought the [SC_BAD_ANT_01|Kulech] society was a multi-queen system, but the [SC_BAD_ANT_01|Kulech] samples he brought back contained two varieties, only one of which matched the [SC_BAD_ANT_01|Kulech] you collected. I can only conclude there are two subgroups of [SC_BAD_ANT_01|Kulech].

I'm running various experiments to test my hypothesis...but waiting for the results will take too long. I need a catalyst to speed up the reaction. I seem to recall there are some [<S>120651|White Bell Flowers] nearby. Collect 10 [<S>241269|White Bell Flower Petals] and drop them into the [120653|Giant Reaction Bottle]. Then we can see how the results turned out.

Just as I thought! The reaction proves I was right!

I have examined numerous [SC_BAD_ANT_01|Kulech], including the one you brought back, and can conclude that the [ZONE_QRICH_CADAVER_DEN|Kulech Bones Nest] contains two divergent subgroups, where outside the [ZONE_QRICH_CADAVER_DEN|Kulech Bones Nest] there is only one.

That being the case, we still need to work out why there's only one group above ground... If Maderoth wants to use the Myrmex, why doesn't he use both groups? He could always deploy them in different areas, but for some reason he hasn't.

Opposing groups of Myrmex will only try and destroy one another. He doesn't care about that apparently. Based on the conversation you overheard, I'd say his alliance with the Myrmex is very unstable...perhaps that's just what he wants. The purpose of all his plotting is still not apparent, unfortunately.

You probably don't know Jason. He was a well-respected rogue, one of the few people to penetrate the [SC_BAD_ANT_01|Kulech] defenses and get inside the [ZONE_QRICH_CADAVER_DEN|Kulech Bones Nest]. He brought back lots of valuable information and helped us develop new ways to get people inside. Sadly he risked his life getting the information out and later died from his injuries.
