Of course I'm very grateful that you saved me, but are you sure that you want to get involved with our dangerous situation? A high-ranking knight like you probably has an unshakable sense of responsibility. Working hard to always comply with orders from above, every knight has a sense of perfectionism. It would be better if you didn't listen to the crazy things that we want to do if you aren't able to help us. This way you won't have to sever connections completely.
I don't want to put my savior in jeopardy with his superiors. After all, you don't really know anything about the situation. All you did was save a poor researcher... At least, that's how it is at this point.

CompleteDetailThis is what happened: We're not doing anything bad, but the Alliance can't be bothered to look after the safety of the researchers. It also can't satisfy everybody's curiosity.
I can imagine how the Alliance would react if they found out about us. They'd complain that we are so much trouble and just make more work for them. I also know that someone would criticize us for doing pointless research... It doesn't matter. Once we fully analyze the special properties and uses of the Ice Matter then they won't have any case against us.
