It might even be the case that this thing isn't in actuality an animal at all...
CompleteDetailCurses! That's not the first scalpel I've broken... It doesn't seem to matter which knife I use, I can't get through its outer layer. Aside from which, I've never seen a bodily feature like this on another animal.
At least I can say for certain now that it really is an animal, although the organization of its viscera differs greatly from other creatures. It has a number of organs I'm unfamiliar with... I've just pulled something out of its abdomen that looks much like a stomach, but its contents are like nothing I've ever seen before. Anyway, it's capacity is far too large.
I'll have to take a more detailed look at everything. That will take some time...
