I hear that an evil corruption has befallen the shrine over yonder. I'm sure you can feel it too. I used to be a great adventurer, once upon a time. But it catches up with all of us eventually. Arthritis, that is. And boy are my knees killing me... And my back! And...
(Nathan rattles off a long list of ailments.)
... Anyway, some time ago, my nephew Loric returned from a grand adventure. He gnawed my ear off all day long with tales of his heroic travails. So I said what a pleasure it was to have his help to hand!
The next morning, he was gone. I figured he was just chomping at the bit and had gone on ahead, as I'm not exactly quick on my feet these days. But now I'm not so sure. Someone needs to deal with the shrine! (Cough, cough.)
Well, I'm here now, but... it's a pretty steep incline up this hill. And not a single bench in sight! When I tried to sit myself down on that cart over there, I was driven off by those boorish goat-things! Nobody has any manners any more! In my day...
(Nathan holds forth at length on the trouble with today's youth, societal changes and more.)
