It's mined at [ZONE_EAST_MERDIN_TUNDRA\|Soyar Lake]. It's about the same strength as iron, but of course it wouldn't be so rare if that was all there is to it. More importantly, Icesteel is imbued with elemental power! The freezing frost power that emits from the metal erodes and freezes any living thing that comes in direct contact with it. This freezing... is just like the state I was just in. It would have been a disaster if even just a little bit more time passed.

From our previous experiments, we discovered that when Icesteel was heated to be smelted in a normal fashion, it lost its elemental power. Thus, the weapons must be made with a special smelting technique. \n\nI've always had an inquisitive spirit, so I decided that I must find out how the Korum use Icesteel in their daily lives. That is why Wollie and I snuck into the castle! This should have been a piece of cake for us. We have snuck into many dangerous places before to conduct our research and we've never had any problems.

SC_425577_TALK_07	I wanted to talk about that now. Once I discovered the mysterious things the Korum were doing, I decided to change my objective. After all, Wollie could have handled the original task. \n\nAnyway, I saw the Korum in a room refining the Icesteel with a very special process. They condensed the material into what they call "Ice Matter." It seems that this is another reason why they make the Icesteel into weapons. I say this because you can't compare their refining abilities. You'd understand if you saw them. Ice Matter is very important... or it is something very special. \n\nWhen the Korum looked away, I couldn't wait and stole a bit of it. That is when they caught me. I guess my willpower isn't mature yet. I was so entranced by the beauty of the Ice Matter that I forgot about the dangers near me. It also can't satisfy everybody's curiosity. \n\nI can imagine how the Alliance would react if they found out about us. They'd complain that we are so much trouble and just make more work for them.
