A thousand years ago, a sage dressed in rags traveled between the various kingdoms warning of the arrival of a scourge, but no one believed him. Only one clever king believed the sage's prediction and a majority of his people were able to flee the disaster. \n\nThe joy of this event didn't last long, however. The sage then told the king, who had lost his wife several years before, that his only daughter would die in two years' time. This prediction was a like a death sentence for the king. He wouldn't accept losing another one of his loved ones, so he sought his most trusted friend, the powerful mage, Sair. They worked together to find some way to stop this tragedy from occurring. In the end, Sair used a rune to open a door and summon monsters from another world.

Zaczęły kontrolować chłopów, żołnierzy, urzędników... a nawet króla. W końcu Sair wysłał nas za zamek, każąc nam wznieść barierę, która miała powstrzymać potwory. \n\nOstatnie tysiąc lat spędziliśmy na badaniu, jak odesłać potwory tam, skąd przybyły. Jednak jesteśmy zbyt słabi, a potwory przeklęły nas. Kiedy moc klątwy zbliża się do granicy, zapadamy w głęboki, długi sen. To dlatego nie zdołaliśmy poprosić o zewnętrzną pomoc. Polegamy na naszej wiedzy o runach, by podtrzymywać barierę i powstrzymać potwory przed opuszczeniem zamku. Ostatnio jednak bariera znacznie osłabła. Nie wiemy, co zrobić... ale ty posiadasz moc, której my nie mamy. Pomożesz nam?	These monsters allowed the king to achieve his wish. They affected the entire kingdom. That is why we haven't been able to ask for help from outside. All we can do is rely on our knowledge of the runes to maintain the barrier and do our best to stop those monsters from leaving the castle.
