Along with the long sword, [243281\|Fanasa's Heart], and the war axe, [204550\|Fanasa's Power], this is one of the three talismans. Legend has it that the Divine Envoys bestowed one of these talismans each to the Akson and Shadis families, as well as the hill dwarves, so that they might use them to eliminate the forces of evil across the land. Lorsen Shadis, Zorgalin Thunderheart and I used the power of these three talismans many decades ago to defeat the troll king, ushering in an era of peace in the [ZONE_N_FAYTEAR_UPLANDS\|Moorlands of Farsitan]. For that, we were honored as the three heroes.\n\nMeh, heroes. The very word leaves a sour taste in the mouth...

But ultimately, it's because of you.\n\nYou don't believe me, huh? Well, in the beginning I thought I'd gone mad as well. When the people couldn't be turned from uncovering the [ZONE_CONDEMNED_GROTTO\|Grotto of the Damned], I was gripped with rage. I stormed off and wanted nothing better than to fall in battle, just as Lorsen had. But then I encountered Lorsen's spirit near [ZONE_LUTHERS_VESTIGE\|Lorsen's Legacy]. He told me that the forces of evil would rally once more. He told me not to give up, but to stay alive and wait for a sign.\n\nI had no idea what to believe, but returning was the last thing on my mind. I didn't want to see all those faces contorted with greed, so I stayed here. And now you've appeared. That must be the sign that Lorsen told me to wait for.
